Evie Dove

Building a brand to honour a beautiful soul

Oak Creative became creative partners to a wonderful charity that raises funds to support the training of paediatric medical professionals.

The Mission

The Evie Dove Foundation was founded in memory of Evie Dove, aged forever thirteen.  She tragically lost her battle with cancer in March 2022, after being diagnosed in April 2021 with a brain tumour. Oak Creative were honoured to create a brand to remember Evie and help her family launch the Foundation.

“We have been working with the team at Oak Creative since starting the Evie Dove Foundation last year, and they have been truly phenomenal. From website design, to branding, logos, creative ideas, content management

They have created the most beautiful website, exceeding our expectations! Everything completed is super efficient and to the highest of standards plus sympathetically handled due to the circumstances. I cannot recommend the team enough. Nothing is too much trouble and the work delivered, is brilliant.

We adore the website and couldn’t have got where we are today without Oak Creative. Thank you team for your continued hard work and dedication to the Evie Dove Foundation.”

What is the purpose of the Evie Dove brand?

Evie Dove’s parents, Howard and Katie Dove, launched the foundation in 2022. Having been through an unimaginable battle alongside Evie, they were inspired by her strength, spirit, humour and love of life which they want to live on through The Foundation.

Their purpose is to help sick children and save young lives by sponsoring the education and training of talented and passionate paediatric medical professionals. Who, with their help and financial support, will develop their skills and expertise to provide cutting edge medical and pastoral care when children and their families need it most.

What is the essence of the brand?

Brand essence is a phrase often used to describe what is at the core of the brand.  Evie was unique, fun and positive, The Foundation wanted this memory of her to be reflected in her brand.  When developing this brand with a legacy like this, it’s only befitting that the brand embodies parts of who they are.

How did you create the Evie Dove logo identity?

Something so personal had to look and feel ‘right’ to honour Evie.  Howard & Katie suggested using Evie’s signature as the logo mark, because Evie signed her name with a heart after it. The colour chosen matches a lipstick that was created to raise money in her memory too.

As a whole, we kept the branding simple and clean, in readiness to be translated across multiple mediums as The Foundation grows from strength to strength.

How has Oak Creative supported the Evie Dove brand so far?

The Foundation knew from the launch that they wanted a long term Creative Partner to support their long term vision. Having us involved from the launch enables us to have an intrinsic understanding on how the brand needs to be represented, and allows consistency as it evolves.  The initial launch consisted of a brand identity, along with social media assets.

We also designed the website, which is fundamental to the fundraising the foundation will do. The website tells Evie’s story and communicates the purpose of the foundation. We wanted to ensure a clear user journey that prompts for donations, and encourages people to support events.

The official launch party was in December 2022, which started with an auction. We designed the auction guide, plus t-shirts to be sold at the event and for future fundraising merchandise. The launch event raised £40k.

2023 is already set to be a great year with many fundraising events lined up, including Jasper Ryman, who is mountain biking from Land’s End to John O’Groats. That’s over 1300 miles of (mostly) off-road, sleeping under the stars and squeezing in the odd YHA – theeviedovefoundation.org/WWU

The Foundation team is also carrying out The 3 Peaks Challenge! – theeviedovefoundation.org/3peaks
