WineGB’s Digital Evolution
Creating a digital home for the future of English and Welsh wine.

WineGB brings together the passionate people behind England and Wales’ thriving wine industry – from small family vineyards to leading producers. As the sector continues to grow, WineGB wanted a fresh brand and website that truly reflected the energy, quality, and collaboration within its community. They turned to Oak Creative to help bring that story to life, with a look and feel that celebrates the modern face of British wine.
I cannot recommend Oak Creative more highly for their work in building this website. They felt like a fully integrated consultancy within the team, bringing with them a strong understanding of the needs of the UK wine community. They showed their care in making our case and Dane in particular a great deal of creativity especially around our wine map, They really brought our design to life and stuck strictly to the brand guidelines created by Barlow & Coe. They were genuinely committed, professional and a pleasure to work with.
Why did WineGB come to Oak Creative?
WineGB approached Oak Creative to modernise and unify their brand identity and digital presence. Their existing website felt overly traditional and didn’t reflect the premium, dynamic, and growing nature of the English and Welsh wine industry. Oak Creative’s expertise in design and bespoke digital development – especially within rural, tourism, and heritage sectors – positioned them as the ideal creative partner to help elevate WineGB’s reputation and member engagement.
Why was this new website needed?
This project came at a key moment in WineGB’s journey. The organisation had grown rapidly, representing hundreds of producers and becoming the authoritative voice for English and Welsh wine. However, their brand and website no longer reflected that growth.
The digital experience needed to serve multiple audiences – from producers seeking support and resources, to consumers looking to discover and visit local vineyards. At the same time, the visual identity needed to strike a balance between heritage and modernity, showing the confidence and professionalism of a world-class industry while remaining warm and approachable.
What were the objectives of the new website?
feel effortless and reflect their new premium branding.
For the website, our goals were to:
- Create a beautiful, intuitive site that’s easy to navigate and enjoyable to use.
- Redesign the Producers Directory with smarter search and live filtering, with analytics to better connect consumers with vineyards..
- Integrate the Members Area seamlessly with the main site, encouraging engagement and collaboration.
- Streamline website management for the WineGB team, making it simple to keep content fresh.
Oak Creative delivered these goals through a collaborative process of consultation, design prototypes, and phased development, ensuring WineGB’s digital presence matched its refreshed brand.
How did Oak Creative approach the project?
Oak Creative approached the WineGB project as a strategic partnership, combining deep creative insight with data-led design. The team’s understanding of rural and agricultural branding, paired with their experience building complex bespoke web systems, added strategic value.
How has the new website been rolled out?
The new website now acts as a central hub for everything WineGB does – connecting producers, supporting members, and inspiring the public to discover local wines.
The results are clear: a brand that feels modern, cohesive, and confident, and a digital platform that’s as inviting and vibrant as the people behind it.
