Website Briefing Form

Please fill out the details below. We’ve found that these questions help our clients get a strong specification together for their website. If you could answers these prior to our first meeting, we’ll have the foundations for a successful project and a more accurate quotation!
Name
Why do you need a website or a redesign? What outcome do you want to achieve? Are there problems with your existing site? Please try to highlight one core business goal such as “increase online sales”, or “showcase our products”
If you have additional goals, write about them here. They might be things like reducing admin when receiving enquiries or brand development. Try to limit these to two or three.
In other words, what should the website do? Is it an online portfolio like a brochure, or do you need an online shop? If it is an e-commerce site, do you have an existing system or portal that you need the website to work with? Examples of other sites doing what you desire are always handy.
It is likely the structure will change during the design phase but it is useful to have a starting point. Try not to just copy an old site layout over to your new project. Changes could yield massive benefits. Start with your Home page and expand from there. The easiest way to do this is to create a bullet point list under key page headings (e.g About, Shop, Contact, Our History etc...)
Please collate some links from any websites you like or dislike the design of and why - this will help establish your own style!
Naturally some people don’t want to disclose budgets when they contact us. However, if we know your objectives and your budget we can work together to find solutions that meet both with ease!
Who do you consider to be your main competitors? Provide links to their sites. This will allow us to see what they are offering. It also helps us to design something that will stand out from the competition.
If you have any deadlines or internal timescales make sure to include them in your specification. As a rough guide, web development projects take on averages 3 months from design to go live. Within our proposal we will include a schedule of stages to ensures the project runs smoothly.
